Crash claims the life of one in Laurel

LAUREL, Del. – Delaware State Police are investigating a fatal crash that happened just after 5:00 p.m. on Christmas Day.

Police say a Ford F-150 was driving northbound on Fire Tower Road  when the driver lost control going around a turn. The driver then struck a tree before the car burst into flames. Police say the fire was so intense it consumed the entire truck, and they were unable to determine what color the truck was.

The driver’s identity remains unknown, and the crash is still under investigation.
