Bears that Care helps 300+ families for Christmas

PRESTON, Md. – Hundreds of children will wake up on Christmas morning to tons of toys under their tree, and it’s all thanks to Bears that Care.

The organization has been running their Christmas donation drive for decades, and this year they say they collected enough donations to help over 300 families.

Thanks to the drive, kids will be getting books, bikes, tons of toys, and anything else they could dream of on Christmas morning.

Organizers tell 47ABC the drive is hard work, but it’s all worth it knowing they’re helping families out on Christmas.

“Some of the parents are very very grateful, I mean ones that come in that have actually been homeless, that have found a home, and they’re actually able to have Christmas morning,” Organizer Shelly Webster said.

Organizers with Bears that Care tell us they hope to have the entire room of toys cleared by 7:30 Tuesday night.
