Participants needed for Worcester County Career Assistance Program

WORCESTER COUNTY, Md. – If you know someone between the ages of 16 and 24 who is looking for a job, one organization in Worcester County could help with that.

Youth and Family Services is looking for people to be part of their Career Assistance Program.

The program aims to help people aged 16 to 24 who are unemployed and have no college degree find a good job.

People who meet the requirements will do an assessment to determine their interests and skills, and then Youth and Family services will help place them in businesses throughout the county.

But first, they need your help to find eligible participants.

“One of the biggest challenges is actually finding these young people who are, what we call, opportunity youth, those who are out of school and aren’t really doing anything at this point in time,” Steven Taylor, Executive Director of Youth & Family Services, said.

If you know anybody who is interested, you can contact Youth and Family services to get more information.
