Dover shocks Sussex Central, keeps playoff hopes alive

DOVER, De- The Dover Senators improved to 5-4 on the year, knocking off defending D1 champion Sussex Central 28-21 on Friday night.

A dual between Tyjhir Sheppard-Parker (Central) and Javon Peace (Dover), the Senators fought to a 14-7 lead at halftime lead. The teams would trade scores in the second half, with Dover stuffing Central late in the fourth quarter at the goal line to hold on for the 7-point win.

Dover (5-4) will visit Caesar Rodney in the season finale next Friday, while Sussex Central (7-2) will take on Indian River.
