One arrested in Dover burglary, others still wanted

DOVER, Del. – Dover Police say one suspect has been arrested in connection to a burglary at the Enterprise Car Rental in Dover Saturday night.

According to police, the incident happened shortly before 10 p.m. Saturday. It was discovered that a suspect used a rock to break a front door and stole several sets of vehicle keys from the business. The keys taken did not belong to any vehicles that were on the property at that time.

Later that evening, a group of subjects were seen near the building, but they all initially fled on foot. Each subject was detained, but only one suspect, identified as 20-year-old Darius Payne, could be linked to the burglary.

Payne was charged with third degree burglary, theft under $1,500, criminal mischief, wearing a disguise during the commission of a felony, second degree conspiracy, and resisting arrest. He was later released on $12,100 secured bond.
