North Caroline still top dog in Bayside North
EASTON, Md. – The North Caroline Bulldogs continue to show why they are the team to beat in the Bayside North.
The Bulldogs took down rival Easton 49-7, holding that tough Easton offense to just one score.
After Easton led off the game with an onside kick, North Caroline took the first play from scrimmage to the house. Wyatt LaClair connected with Montreyse Deshields on a screen pass and 52 yards later the Bulldogs had a 7-0 lead.
On the next Bulldog drive, Hunter Healey was on the receiving end of a LaClair pass to make it 14-0. Easton would answer with a score of their own as Ryan O’Connor connected with Shawn Warner from two yards out.
But the Bulldogs couldn’t be stopped. North Caroline tacked on two rushing scores in the second from Trenton Hillard and Deshields to make it 27-0. Then LeClair tossed a 35-yard bomb to Deshields as the horn sounded at the end of the half to make it 35-0.
NC would keep rolling and spoil Easton’s homecoming.
