Kirwan Commission Chair to host community forum in Salisbury

SALISBURY, Md. – In Maryland the chair of the Kirwan Commission, Dr. William Kirwan, will be making his way to the eastern shore this coming Tuesday. We’re told Dr. Kirwan will be apart of a community forum at Wor-Wic community college to discuss the commissions efforts to improve public schools in the state. Improvements that could cost around $4 billion. The forum will give Dr. Kirwan the opportunity to present his plans to fund this initiative, and those who attend will also get the opportunity to ask questions and express any ideas or concerns regarding the commissions’ plans.

“To be able to have Dr. Kirwan here in Salisbury in the week that his planning formula will be announced, its significant, and we appreciate that leaders throughout the state pay attention to the eastern shore and our tri state and county area,” said CEO and President of the Greater Salisbury Committee, Mike Dunn.

Dr. Kirwan will speak at Wor-Wic’s Guerrieri Hall Auditorium from 6 to 7-30 Tuesday night.
