Hundreds celebrate Halloween in Princess Anne

PRINCESS ANNE, Md. – Hundreds of people celebrated Halloween in Princess Anne on Thursday, all together at Greenwood Elementary School.

The town hosted their annual Halloween celebration indoors this year because of the threat of rain.

There was food, games, and, of course, plenty of treats.

Kids came dressed in all kinds of costumes, excited to stock up on candy while showing off their outfits.

Police tell 47 ABC this was the perfect way to bring people together to celebrate the holiday while still making sure all residents stayed safe on a night that can sometimes be a little bit dangerous.

“We want to do something that everybody in town can come to in a safe place and have a good time, be safe, and trick or treat, and have something to eat, and go home and be happy all sugared up at the end of the night,” Chief Timothy Bozman with the Princess Anne Police Department said.

Police add that they’re thankful people still came out to celebrate despite changing weather forecasts.
