HALO receives 100K grant for expansion

SALISBURY, Md. – The nonprofit HALO will soon be able to better serve the homeless population thanks to a generous donation.

On Thursday, Perdue Farms presented HALO with a 100,000 dollar check as well as a six month supply of chicken.

This donation comes as HALO is getting ready to undergo a 2 million dollar expansion.

We are told Perdue’s generous donation will help HALO to build five brand new showers.

“When we approached Perdue Foundation about this, we just desperately need men showers, so they were very generous in what they gave us,” said Celeste Savage, the executive director at HALO.

HALO’s expansion project is expected to kick off in January.

As part of the expansion, Savage says they will be adding new laundry units as well as new bedrooms.
