Fatal crash in Millsboro under investigation

MILLSBORO, Del. – Delaware State Police are investigating a single vehicle crash that resulted in one fatality Thursday afternoon.

According to police, just before 4 p.m., a Ford F150 was traveling eastbound on Daisey Road approaching a moderate right curve. The driver failed to negotiate the curve, subsequently crossing over the center line into the opposite travel lane, veering off the side of the road. The vehicle eventually hit a standing tree.

The driver, a 61-year-old Frankford woman, died as a result of her injuries at PRMC in Salisbury. Her name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

The crash remains under investigation.
