Two arrested on drug charges following search warrant in Millsboro
MILLSBORO, Del. – Delaware State Police arrested two suspects on Wednesday after wrapping up a month-long drug investigation.
The investigation into the distribution of heroin concluded with a search warrant at a residence in the 26000 block of Bay Farm Road. On arrival, 67-year-old Gregory Woudenberg and 55-year-old Richard Burns were located inside the home, and it was learned that they were both residents.
Police recovered 143 bags of heroin (approximately 1.001 grams) and 13.5 narcotic pills inside the home. Both suspects were subsequently arrested.
Woudenberg was charged with possession with intent to manufacture, deliver a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance in a tier 1 quantity, maintaining a drug property, conspiracy second degree, possession of a controlled or counterfeit substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is currently being held at the Sussex Correctional Institution on $13,400 cash only bond.
Burns was charged with possession with intent to manufacture, deliver a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance in a tier 1 quantity, conspiracy second degree, possession of a controlled or counterfeit substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was later released on $12,500 unsecured bond.
