Pip the Beach Cat cast in national advertising campaign

OCEAN CITY, Md. – You may be used to seeing Ocean City’s most famous kitty, Pip the Beach Cat, roaming the boardwalk. But soon you’ll see his face somewhere else.

Pip and his owner, Emily Meadows, traveled to New York City last week after Pip was cast in a national advertising campaign.

Meadows tells 47 ABC that they did sign a non-disclosure agreement, so she can’t give the details just yet on what Pip was cast as, but she says his fans should expect to see his face in an “unexpected place” sometime in the spring.

Meadows says that while the trip was exciting for Pip, it just goes to show that you never know what an animal is capable of.

“I think that’s the coolest part of all of it, is that he was just this dirty little kitten that nobody wanted, and it kind of goes to show that you never know talents an animal, or a child, or anything has,” Meadows said.

Meadows adds that Pip enjoyed the treats and attention in New York City, but was a bit overwhelmed by some of the other animals there.
