HALO Renovates Their Playground for Summer Children’s Program

SALISBURY, Md. – A playground outside the HALO shelter that was in much need of a face-lift recently got one thanks to the hard work of volunteers.

The playground wasn’t safe for kids to play on due to years of wear and tear and it sat largely unused as a result.

Members of the Lift Church and people staying at HALO’s shelter got to work this weekend to fix it up.

The volunteers added things like fresh mulch, new equipment, stained them and now kids staying at the HALO shelter will be able to have a little more fun this summer.

“This gives them a chance to get their energy out and connect with some other children and play and just enjoy life,” Celeste Savage, executive director of HALO said.

We’re told the playground is ready just in time for HALO’s eagle wings summer program which gives over 100 kids more opportunities for fun activities this summer.
