Fire damages Dagsboro Main Street business

DAGSBORO, Del. – Dagsboro Paint and Wallpaper, a longtime downtown business, was badly damaged in a fire on Saturday.

According to the Dagsboro Volunteer Fire Department, crews responded at 11:19 to the store at 33256 Main Street. It’s not clear yet as to what caused the fire or exactly how much damage was done. There are no reports of injuries from the fire.

Dagsboro’s Mayor Brian Baull said on Facebook,”On behalf of the Town of Dagsboro, we ask everyone to send out thoughts and prayers to the Disharoons and everyone with Dagsboro Paint and Wallpaper after today’s fire. Thank you to our Dagsboro Fire Co. and all the other fire companies who battled the flames today – your efforts are appreciated!”

Teressa Disharoon posted on Facebook saying, “Thank You everyone for the prayers and kind words today. It has been a rough afternoon. We are ok but the store is a total mess to say the least. We cannot say thank you enough to the fire fighters, medics, friends, etc who where there today and all the texts and calls. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! We are now awaiting an adjuster before we can go any further.”
