Dover man charged with attempted murder after barricade situation

DOVER, Del. – Delaware State Police say the man who was involved in a barricade situation, back in June, is now behind bars and faces ten charges.

According to officials, Justin Topolski was released from the Rockford Center (Behavioral Health Facility) on Friday. The 38-year-old was brought to Troop 2 where was charged with the following:

  • Attempted to commit murder 1st degree
  • Three counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony
  • Two counts of reckless endangering 1st degree creates a substantial risk of death
  • Possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony
  • Aggravated menacing
  • Terroristic threatening
  • Offensive touching

Justin Topolski, 38, Dover

Topolski was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution in default of $665,100.00 cash bond.

The charges stem from a June 25 domestic violence case where Topolski reportedly barricaded himself in his Howe Road home and fired shots in the direction of officers.
