Dewey Beach discusses possible Nalu Restaurant expansion

DEWEY BEACH, Del. – Dewey Beach Commissioners have their work cut out for them on Friday. They will they be discussing and possibly voting on whether to bring the Clydesdales back for another event after not having them for two years. There’s also a hearing on whether the public would like to see Nalu Restaurant expand; plans that would involve knocking down an existing building to make way for an outdoor patio.

“But the commissioners and also the planning and zoning commission frequently have to think about what the impact may be on the neighboring properties around. So there’s a process we have to go through and we’ll see how that goes tonight,” explains Commissioner Gary Persinger.

There will also be public discussion on the increased police presence the Town of Dewey Beach has provided at North Beach and how the town is going to pay for the added costs.
