Big Brothers Big Sisters in need of male mentors


SALISBURY, Md. – Across the Eastern Shore over one hundred kids are waiting for a big brother or big sister – just someone to be in their corner.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Eastern Shore is in desperate need of adults that will step in and be a mentor. Right now in Salisbury alone there are about 70 kids who are waiting for a mentor and 80 percent of them are boys.

“A lot of them just maybe their mom is just really busy, maybe both parents are just really busy working outside the home. Maybe they have five or six siblings and they just need somebody that’s just their’s but it just gives them someone that’s in their corner that’s their defender,” explains Nicole Brenner of Shore Big Little.

It’s not a big commitment, it can just be one hour out of a month, but being a mentor can make a huge impact on a child’s life. To learn more just head over to their website.
