Two arrested on theft charges in Camden

CAMDEN-WYOMING, Del. – Delaware State Police arrested two suspects in connection to a trailer theft that happened early Thursday morning.

At around 3:15 a.m., troopers observed two suspicious vehicles on a property in the 400 block of Todd’s Mill Road. One of the vehicles was seen pulling a large white enclosed trailer with improper tail lights.

Police initiated a traffic stop and learned that the driver, 56-year-old Mark Harris, had a suspended license and an active capias. Harris was subsequently taken into custody. The second suspicious vehicle had already left the scene.

Further investigation revealed that the utility trailer was stolen from the property on Todd’s Mill Road.

Harris is currently being held at the Sussex Correctional Institution on $3,106 cash only bond on theft and other related charges.

The driver of the second vehicle, identified as 52-year-old Richard Walls, turned himself and was charged with felony theft, conspiracy second degree, and criminal trespass. He was later released on $4,500 unsecured bond.
