UPDATE: Wanted Seaford man apprehended

6/14 UPDATE: Delaware State Police have arrested 33-year-old Matthew Davis of Seaford.

He was taken into custody on Sussex Highway on Thursday and is currently being held at the Sussex Correctional Institution on $13,001 cash only bond.


SEAFORD, Del. – Delaware State Police are searching for a Seaford man who is wanted in connection to a burglary.

Troopers responded to a residence in the 26000 block of Lonesome Road on May 30th for a reported burglary. On arrival, it was learned that the suspect forced entry through the front door and stole multiple items including cash and electronics.

Through further investigation, 33-year-old Matthew Davis was identified as the suspect. Davis allegedly pawned some of the stolen items at a local pawn shop.

Davis currently has warrants out on second degree burglary, theft, theft by false pretense, falsifying business records, and criminal mischief records.

Police say Davis is known to frequent the Mobile Gardens area, and anyone who may have information on his whereabouts should contact Troop 5 at 302-337-8253 or Delaware Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIP-3333.
