SNOW HILL, Md. – Two Delaware men are facing jail time following their conviction on robbery charges in Worcester County.

19-year-old Kevone Bunting and 21-year-old Adrian Matthews were each convicted of two counts of robbery last week in the Worcester County Circuit Court. Bunting was sentenced to ten years in the Division of Correction with five years suspended on each count of robbery. Matthews was sentenced to twelve years in the Division of Correction with six years suspended on each count of robbery.

The charges stem from two robberies that happened on the same day in Ocean City back in October 2018. Police determined that there were four individuals involved in the incidents, two of which were identified as Bunting and Matthews. During the first incident, police say Matthews held a gun to a victim’s neck inside a hotel restroom near 37th Street while Bunting stole the victim’s cell phone, credit card, and cash. A short time later, the two robbed a clerk at gunpoint at a local convenience store.

Police located the suspect vehicle as well as all four suspects the same evening, with the help of surveillance video taken from several locations in Ocean City.
