Queen Anne’s dominant in route to State Championship

GLEN BERNIE, Md. – The Queen Anne’s Lions’ softball team wasted no time in looking to punch their ticket to the MPSSAA State Championship Game.

The Lions dominated their semi-final opponent Middletown with a solid 9-0 victory over the Vikings. Kamyrn Brandt and Alyson Hall both had the bats working in the first inning with a pair of RBI each.

Brandt drove a bases-loaded double to right field to nearly clear the bases, but the ball rolled under the fence resulting in just two runs coming to score. Hall tacked on her hit with a two-out single that toe-tapped fair territory to plate a couple more Lions.

Queen Anne’s is headed to the championship game on Saturday and will take on La Plata for all the marbles.
