Greenwood man sentenced in 2018 shooting incident

BRIDGEVILLE, Del. – A Greenwood man has pled guilty to fatally shooting a teen back in January of 2018.

32-year-old Jared Mitchell was convicted on charges of manslaughter, reckless endangering first degree, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony for killing 18-year-old Tavyon Skyes.

Mitchell has been sentenced to 12 years in prison, followed by 6 months of home confinement or work release and 10 years of probation.
