2019 Springfest: Local businesses excited about start of tourist season

OCEAN CITY, Md. – On Wednesday, tents were being pitched and vendors were setting up in preparation for the first day of Springfest, on Thursday.

The 4-day long event draws huge crowds every year with concerts, crafts and of course great food. But Springfest also provides a great start to the tourist season for local businesses that are eagerly awaiting visitors to vacation in the beach town.

“It really is the kick off for the season. With us, with our location, where we are we are kind of right in the middle of it all. So a lot of people pass by and shop here on their way to or coming from Springfest. So it’s a great location for us in particular and everybody here on the south end of the boardwalk,” says Anna Dolle-Bushnell, owner of Dolle’s Candyland.

Springfest runs Thursday, May 2nd through Sunday, the 5th – rain or shine. For tickets you can visit the Ocean City Convention Center or click here.
