Gulls run thru CAC rival Captains to move to 13-0

SALISBURY, Md- The #1 Salisbury University men’s lacrosse team scored the first 7 goals of the game, and the final 7 of the game to defeat #20 Christopher Newport University 18-4 on Wednesday afternoon in Salisbury.

Nine Gulls registered goals in the game, with Pierre Armstrong and Zach Pompea each netting four apiece. Josh Melton (2 goals, 3 assists) also came up big on the offensive end for Salisbury. Brett Malamphy was a stalwart on face offs, and gathered 14 ground balls on the afternoon. On defense, Gulls goalie Brandon Warren stopped 10 of CNU’s 14 shots.

Salisbury returns to action on Saturday, April 13th when they travel to Washington College for a 1pm tilt.
