Market Street Inn holds ‘Warrior Wednesday’ event to raise funds for officer battling cancer

SALISBURY, Md. – And as one hero prepares to get laid to rest another hero, Spencer Wiersberg continues to fight for his life. And the Wicomico County Community continues to stand by his side. Currently Rob Mulford, the owner of Market Street Inn, is holding a Warrior Wednesday event at his restaurant.
To raise money for the Fruitland police officer who’s currently battling cancer. Mulford tells us he’ll be donating 50% of all the sales made from the day from lunch, pub, catering, and carryout orders to support Spencer and his family. Mulford adds that this is a special way to give back, after the community fought alongside his daughter, Brooke, who battled cancer for 8 years, until she passed away in 2017.

“When my daughter got sick in 2009, 2010, a lot of people in the community did a lot for us when she was first diagnosed. It feels good again to be able to give back and its very important,” said Mulford.

If you haven’t been able to make it over to Market Street to show your support for Spencer you still have some time. Mulford tells us the event will be going on until 9 PM, and the entire community is welcome to attend. You can also head to the Wiersberg Warriors Facebook page to find out how to donate.
