Bay Bridge lane closures scheduled for March 10th-16th

ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Those needing to travel to and from the shore via the Chesapeake Bay Bridge next week should plan ahead for lane closures.

According to the Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA), the westbound span of the bridge will be closed from 10 p.m. Sunday night until 5 a.m. Monday morning, Monday through Wednesday from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., Thursday from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., Friday from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m., and Saturday from 9 p.m. to 8 a.m.. Two-way traffic will operate on the eastbound span during full westbound span closures.

In addition, one lane of the eastbound span may be closed Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. to 12 noon for preservation/maintenance work. While in effect, two-way traffic will operate on the westbound span.

We’re also told one lane will be closed for approximately 15 minutes for contractor pick-up Monday through Friday.
