SU women fall in OT; Men pick up big win vs. Southern Virginia

SALISBURY, Md. – The Salisbury University Sea Gulls hosted a double-header as well as their senior day, welcoming in Southern Virginia University.

The women fell to the Knights 67-60 after rallying all the way back against the Knights to take two-point advantage with 10.1 seconds remaining in the game. But SVU was able to find the tying bucket with just seconds remaining to force overtime. The Sea Gulls were held to just three points in OT and couldn’t get the offense going in the extra period.

In the men’s game, Salisbury and SVU traded punches back and forth throughout the first half of play. In the second half both teams continued the pressure but two late technical fouls against SVU allowed Salisbury to take a controlling lead and close out the Knights.
