Salisbury men’s and women’s hoops both downed by CNU at home
SALISBURY, Md.- Getting out to their worst shooting start of the year, the Salisbury women’s basketball team wasn’t able to recover, losing to Christopher Newport 81-45.
SU would be score five points in the first 18 minutes of the game, finishing the first half with 14 total. On the night, the Gulls shot a dismal 13-56 (23.2%) from the field, turning the ball over 28 times.
On the men’s side, SU hopped would have the lead for the first 12-and-a-half minutes of the game, but weren’t able to hang with the hot-shooting Captains of Christopher Newport.
CNU finished the night making 31 of their 57 field goal attempts (54.4%), and going on huge run, after run.
Despite a game-high 23 points from SU senior guard Blair Davis, it’s Salisbury’s second loss in the last three games.
Both the Salisbury men and women are on the road for their final game of the year, traveling to Frostburg State.
