Delmar takes down rival Laurel for win number 12

LAUREL, Del. – The Delmar Wildcats kept their state tournament hopes alive with an important win against rival Laurel 68-48 on Tuesday.

The Bulldogs got off to an early 7-2 run, but the Wildcats closed the quarter on a 12-1 run to seize momentum back on their side. Delmar picked up their defensive intensity for much of the second half, scoring eights points off of four straight Laurel turnovers in the third quarter.

Delmar will play one of their final two remaining regular season games tomorrow against Worcester Prep. Laurel will close out their season on Thursday against Woodbridge.
