Del. teens arrested on weapons charges

DOVER, Del. – A firearms investigation led to the arrest of two teenagers Thursday afternoon.

Dover Police say that they received information that the two suspects, 18-year-old Jayaire Brittingham, and a 17-year-old juvenile, were in possession of a sawed off shotgun/rifle combo. Evidence was gathered that confirmed the two were in possession of the weapon, and warrants were obtained for both of their arrests.

Both suspects were arrested without incident on Thursday at the Dover Public Library. They were charged with a single count of possession of a destructive weapon and were later released on bond.
