UPDATE: Reported bomb threats at WBOC, Avery Hall Insurance in Salisbury

4:42 PM UPDATE: Officials have completed the search of Avery Hall Insurance and say they did not locate evidence of explosives.

4:10 PM UPDATE: WBOC is reporting that they have received the all-clear and employees have been allowed back into the building.

3:58 PM UPDATE: 47 ABC has also received word that another threat has been reported at Avery Hall Insurance on East Main Street in Salisbury.

Police say E. Main Street between Route 13 and Poplar Hill Avenue is closed at this time. Motorists are urged to avoid the area and find an alternate route.

Officials believe these emailed bomb threats are part of a nationwide incident this afternoon.

SALISBURY, Md. – Officials are investigating a reported bomb threat at WBOC in Salisbury.

The Salisbury Police Department was alerted to the threat at the station after 2:20 PM Thursday.

We’re told that investigators and officers from Salisbury PD and the Wicomico Sheriffs Office are currently on scene, as well as an explosive K-9 team. The station has been evacuated.

This is a developing situation, and details are limited at this time.
