UPDATE: Police investigating after man drowns in Ocean City

OCEAN CITY, Md. – Police are investigating after a man drowned in Ocean City on Sunday.

Maryland State Police and Natural Resources Police responded to a report of a deceased subject in the water in the area of Waterview Drive shortly before noon on Sunday.

Police have identified the victim as 68-year-old Paul Scott. His body has been taken to the Office of Chief Medical Examiner for autopsy.

The Worcester Bureau of Investigation says they have learned that Scott reportedly kept his boat near the location where he was found, and after each rain storm he would pump water out of his boat. They also say they found a tote bag in the area with a water pump inside.

We’re told that foul play is not expected at this time.
