Group helps to support those who feel grief, loss around the holidays
REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. – The holidays can be a tough time for anyone, that’s why CAMP Rehoboth is helping locals cope during the season.
Every Thursday night, they host an hour-long session for people to discuss troubles that they are having, whether it be the loss of a relative, friend, the ending of a relationship, or anything else causing grief or a sense of loss.
The discussions are open and led by a trained facilitator who uses activities and discussion points.
These sessions are open to anyone in the public who needs help this time of year.
“We’re acknowledging that yea the holidays are a difficult time for many people,” said leader of health and wellness programs, Salvatore Seeley. “And we don’t want that to be hidden, but we want people to find a support network with other people who are dealing with grief and with loss during the holiday season.”
This group will be meeting at the CAMP Rehoboth location the next two Thursdays, from 6 to 7 PM.
