DOVER, Del. – A vehicle chase led to the arrests of three on Saturday morning in Dover.

Officers from the Dover Police Department were checking the area of Capital Park after they received a report of a stolen Toyota Prius from the area of North America Avenue earlier that day. Shortly after, Milford Police reported that a Chevrolet Sonic had been stolen from an area Wawa after a suspect reportedly got out of a Prius in the parking lot.

While police were searching the area of Capital Park, they found both stolen vehicles at S. Governors Boulevard and Senator Avenue. The driver of the Prius, a 17-year-old male, had abandoned the vehicle on Dover Circle where he was picked up by 18-year-old Omari Marion, who was driving the Chevrolet Sonic.

Police say the Sonic was traveling southbound on Bay Road, where they attempted to stop the vehicle, but said the vehicle continued driving through the Blue Hen Corporate Center parking lot onto S. Little Creek Road, into Barrister Place, through an alley into the Stoney Creek development, before fleeing on foot in the Schoolview development.

Marion was charged with illegal gang participation, theft of a motor vehicle, receiving stolen property, disregarding police officer signal, conspiracy 2nd degree, and resisting arrest, as well as multiple traffic violations. He was committed to the Sussex Correctional Institute on $9,760 cash bond.

The 17-year-old and a 13-year-old passenger were both committed to Stevenson House on multiple charges.
