Crisfield spreading holiday cheer with annual Christmas parade

CRISFIELD, Md. – In Crisfield, hundreds are planning on spreading some holiday cheer for the annual Christmas parade Friday. They have 60 entries participating in the parade which starts tomorrow night at 6:30 p.m.

Along with a plethora of parade participants, there’s also a change up in the route this year starting from City Hall and heading all the way to the water.

It’s a holiday tradition and one with some Crisfield flare that includes the lighting of their crab pot Christmas tree.

“When you have something available to the whole town and surrounding areas that is free, it’s always nice that in the celebration of the Christmas season that you’re able to share it with everybody,” explains former mayor Kim Lawson.

In addition to the Christmas parade and tree lighting on Friday, Crisfield will also be hosting Miracle on 10th Street. It’s an event with vendors, crafts, and Christmas tree decorating that takes place on Saturday.
