Residents, businesses honored at Harvest Ball

OCEAN PINES, Md. –  The area Chamber of Commerce held its annual Harvest Ball, honoring local citizens and businesses for tireless work in the community.

Charlotte Cathell was honored as Citizen of the Year.  Those with the chamber called her a foundation in the local community for decades.

Leslie Zimmerman took home Ambassador of the Year for her work with the chamber.

Atlantic Physical Therapy and Lower Shore Land Trust rounded out the honors for Business and Non-Profit for the Year.

“Our members need to realize that they are cherished and appreciated.  What they do for our community it’s coming back to them.  It’s all about karma,” said Kerrie Bunting, the executive director of the Ocean Pines Chamber of Commerce.  “We as a community have to embrace that and encourage it to grow further and appreciate it.”

The Ocean Pines Chamber tells us with a new executive director and new board, they expect to make changes with their membership structure moving forward.
