Q105’s Christmas music takes over Delmarva

SALISBURY, Md. – You can now ‘deck the halls’ while you sit in traffic for your commute because Christmas music has officially hit the airwaves. This morning at exactly 9 AM Q105 switched to the holiday music that will last up until Christmas Day. But apparently that wasn’t soon enough for some people, because they tell us listeners have actually been calling since Halloween asking them to start playing holiday music.  They add that this is a tradition that they’ve been doing for years  which puts their entire staff and their listeners in a great mood.

“We typically do it the week before thanksgiving because we want people to get into the Christmas spirit, decorate early, but we’ve been doing this for decades so it’s something that Q105 always does. The phones start ringing like oh yes this is awesome you always have one or two that says why so early but usually it’s always positive,” said Senior Vice President of sales Katie Hoyt.

The radio station will also be taking part in the Toys For Tots campaign December 1st where you can drop off new, unwrapped toys for local Toys for Tots chapters that will benefit children and families in need right here on Delmarva this Christmas.
