MD: Election officials give noon voter turnout results in Salisbury
SALISBURY, Md. – Voting for the 2018 Midterm Election is officially underway and people all across Delmarva are hitting their local polling stations to cast their ballots.
On Tuesday, Maryland polls opened at 7:00 AM and election officials have since provided current voter turnout numbers for 12 PM. According to the Chief Judge at the Wicomico County Youth & Civic Center polling location, Jason Miller, the precinct has 3,928 voters that are assigned to the civic center and currently 505 voters have come in since Tuesday morning to vote which is about a 13% turnout.
Miller says the center is expected to see a rise during the lunch hour, but the voting should pick up around dinner time starting at 4 PM. Officials add that the polling locations will stay open until 8 PM.
