Del. Fire Marshal’s office seeking help from public in apartment fire

MILLSBORO, Del. – The Delaware State Fire Marshal’s office is asking for the public’s help with the investigation into a fire that happened in an apartment building under construction earlier this month.

The fire took place shortly before 9:30 PM on November 8th in the 34000 block of Harvard Avenue in Millsboro, inside the Carillon Woods Apartments under construction. Estimated fire damage to the structure is currently listed at $1.5 million.

Officials from the Fire Marshal’s office say they have learned through further investigation that the fire was intentionally set and is considered a criminal act of arson. Details are being withheld at this time due to an ongoing investigation.
