Easton Middle School all clear after receiving bomb threat

EASTON, Md. – Easton Middle School was evacuated Thursday morning after a note indicating a bomb threat was found inside the school.

Officials say the school was evacuated immediately following contact with local law enforcement. The building has since been cleared, and all students and faculty have returned to school.

This is the second day in a row that a bomb threat was made to a Talbot County public school, with the first being at Easton High School on Wednesday.

We’re told that Easton Police, the Talbot County Sherrif’s Office, Maryland State Police, the Fire Marshall, and other allied agencies who help with bomb investigations all responded to the threat.

The investigation is ongoing, and no arrests have been made at this time.
