Wico. county public schools rededicate West Salisbury Elementary School

SALISBURY, Md. –  Wicomico county public schools re-dedicated the newly renovated West Salisbury Elementary school on Thursday.

The new facility which costs more than $28.6 million now has air conditioning, sustainable energy, and several other improvements all to give students a more comfortable learning environment.

Guest speakers at Thursday’s dedication ceremony say they’re proud of what the elementary school has done for the community since it’s opening in 1964, and this renovation will allow it to serve students for generations to come.

Tammy Carey, PTA President said, “Before this, the school was in horrible disrepair. It didn’t have air conditioning. They would have to cancel school on days that the weather was too hot. Providing them with this wonderful environment, this wonderful school, shows how important they are.”
