Wanted individuals arrested following traffic stop

ELLENDALE, Del. – Two wanted individuals have been arrested as a result of a traffic stop, in Ellendale.

At approximately 3:50 PM Saturday, the Ellendale Police Department stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. It was then discovered that the driver of the vehicle, 22-year-old Wilberto Perez-Figueroa, of Milford, was wanted by the Harrington Police Department for shoplifting under $1,500 and conspiracy 3rd.

The officer also learned that the passenger, 22-year-old Samuel Torres-Figueroa, also of Milford, was wanted by the Milford Police Department for felony assault 2nd, conspiracy 2nd, and possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony.

In addition, several small bags of heroin were found during a search. Both wanted suspects were taken into custody.

Torres-Figueroa was arrested and charged with possession of heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was committed to the Sussex Correctional Institude on $10,000 secured bond, pending an arraignment in the Sussex County Court of Common Pleas.

Perez-Figueroa was released on $500 unsecured bond, also pending an arraignment in the Court of Common Pleas, for Kent County.
