Derby festival parade celebrate’s the decades old tradition

CRISFIELD, Md. – Every year. spectators line the streets of Crisfield making sure they have the best spot to catch all the action.

The parade celebrates the Labor Day Weekend tradition with grand marshals including Miss Crustacean, Junior Miss Crustacean, Somerset County Police and many other special guests.

Some say they come back to the small town each year to not only watch the parade, but also to reconnect with family and friends and take advantage of the great location where everything is within walking distance.

Stan Rayford, a parade goer said, “You can walk anywhere you want to go and enjoy the race, enjoy the parade, and enjoy the food.”
