Accomack County Public Schools closed due to mandatory evacuation

ACCOMACK COUNTY, Va – After Governor Ralph Northam ordered a mandatory evacuation for some residents of low-lying coastal areas as Hurricane Florence approaches the East Coast school officials with the Accomack County Public Schools posted this message stating that all schools would be closed tomorrow, Tuesday, September 11, through Friday Septemeber 14.

“This is W.C . Holland Superintendent for Accomack County Public Schools. Due to the Governor’s ordered mandatory evacuation, Tomorrow Tuesday September 11, through Friday September 14, all Accomack County Public Schools will be closed for all Students and Staff.

All twelve- month employees will report on time until further notice “
