Wicomico Co. house fire results in $100K in damages; investigation ongoing

A Wicomico County fire remains under investigation, after officials say it caused $100,000 in total damages on Friday morning. 

The Office of the Maryland State Fire Marshal says on Friday, at 7:25 AM, the Westside Fire Company responded to a house fire in the 20700 block of Nanticoke Road. Once on scene, officials say 50 firefighters worked to put the two-story house fire under control in three hours. 

According to authorities, the blaze caused an estimated total loss of $100,000.

No one was injured in the incident.

Fire officials report the fire began in the living room of the home.

This incident remains under investigation.
