DSP: Woman wanted in connection to Dover stabbing

Ronsha Jones, 32, of Dover

Police are searching for a suspect after they say she stabbed her boyfriend on Sunday morning, in Dover.

Delaware State Police say on Sunday, just after 1:00 AM, troopers were dispatched to a stabbing incident in the unit block of Congress Place. Once on scene, troopers say a 44-year-old man of Houston, DE, was found inside his residence with a stab wound to his upper torso.

The victim was apparently taken by EMS to a local hospital, where he was treated.

According to the report, further investigation revealed that the victim and his girlfriend, 32-year-old Ronsha Jones of Dover, were involved in a verbal argument. The argument reportedly led Jones to pull a knife from the front pocket of her hooded sweatshirt and stab the victim.

Jones apparently fled the scene before police arrived  and they have been unable to locate her.

Jones is wanted on charges of assault second degree, possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony, possession of a deadly weapon by a person prohibited, and reckless endangering first degree.

Anyone with information on Jones' whereabouts is asked to call Troop 3 CIU, Detective S. Carbine at 302-698-8444, or Delaware Crime Stoppers at 1-800-847-3333.
