Police: Heroin with street value of $100K seized in Milford investigation; three charged

Three people are facing drug charges, after police say they seized approximately $100,000 worth of heroin during an investigation, in Milford.

The Milford Police Department says on Wednesday, around 6:00 AM, their Special Operations Group ended a month-long investigation into illegal drug sales by executing a search warrant at an apartment on North Front Street (SR14). 

According to the report, heroin, drug paraphernalia, and money were seized during the search. Authorities report that the approximate street value of the heroin seized is $100,000.  Officers say 46-year-old Marvin Spady, 29-year-old Jennifer Sparacio , and 55-year-old Orlando Pettyjohn, all of Milford, was taken in to custody.

Spady was charged with possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance, possesses a controlled substance in a tier 5 quantity, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Sparacio was charged with possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance, possesses a controlled substance in a tier 5 quantity, breach of release, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Pettyjohn was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

Spady was issued $43,500 secured bail and he is scheduled to appear at the Kent County Court of Common Pleas on January 19 for a preliminary hearing. Sparacio was issued $4,500  bail and she is scheduled to appear at the Kent County Court of Common Pleas on January 19 for a preliminary hearing. 

Pettyjohn was issued a criminal summons and released. He is scheduled to appear at the Justice of the Peace Court #6 for arraignment on January 30.

Authorities report that Spady and Sparacio were later turned over to the Sussex Correctional Institution.
