UPDATE: Salisbury manhunt continues

Authorities continue their active search for a 21-year-old man, who they say is wanted on multiple probation violations and reportedly fled from Somerset County into Wicomico County.
Maryland State Police say on Wednesday, at 11:15 AM, troopers attempted to take Lamont Potter, of Crisfield, into custody for violation of probation charges on possession with intent to distribute narcotics. The encounter apparently happened in the area of Backbone Road, in Princess Anne. According to authorities, Potter and a female driver were in a 2017 Ram 2500 pickup truck, when the woman reportedly then rammed police and put the vehicle in reverse. Troopers say the woman then exited the truck and Potter got on the driver's side. It is unclear whether she was pushed or got out voluntarily.
At that point, Potter reportedly rammed the truck into another police vehicle, disabling the police car. He then reportedly hit a UMES road sign and fled the scene by driving through a ditch heading northbound to Salisbury, on Route 13. Law enforcement reports that no one was injured and this investigation is ongoing. Once in Salisbury, about 15 minutes later, authorities report that Potter abandoned the truck in the area of Route 13 and South Salisbury Boulevard, fleeing on foot.
As the chase stretched into Wicomico County, school officials say they have now lifted the shelter in place status that was placed on James M. Bennett High School and Prince Street Elementary, in Salisbury.
Law enforcement says this an active search and the suspect is not in custody.
