Police investigating armed robbery of a Milton gas station

The Delaware State Police are investigating a robbery that happened at a Valero Gas Station north of Milton Friday night.

Police say their preliminary investigation has determined the incident occurred around 7:24 p.m. Friday, as a man armed with a knife entered the Valero Gas Station located at 25576 Deep Branch Road in Milton.

The suspect allegedly approached the clerk at the counter and demanded cash from the register. The employee complied with the suspect's demands and the suspect was able to take an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect fled the store in a south west direction. The clerk was not injured.

Police are describing the suspect as a black male wearing a hooded sweatshirt with his face covered armed with a knife.

Police say no surveillance photos are available.
