I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and were able to be in touch with Family and Friends.

CONGRATULATIONS to Eric Walston who was promoted to Engineer in Training.  He began his new duties on 13 November.  

CONGRATULATIONS to Alex Harris and Lauren Vail, both of whom were promoted from part time to full time MCO’s on 13 November.

REMINDER:  There was a life insurance/disability statement in your last pay envelope.  If you have not yet had an opportunity to read it, please do so at your earliest convenience as it contains deadline information.

OUT IN THE COMMUNITY

  • Last Monday, Jaisol Martinez visited Love Creek Elementary in Lewes, DE.  She brought the mobile weather center and spoke to the kids about broadcast meteorology.

STATION EVENTS

  • Monday, Erica Murphy and Daniel Johnson, along with our Weather Van, will participate in the Pocomoke Christmas Parade
  • Tomorrow is “Giving Tuesday”
  • The Lanes will be here Friday (details to follow)
  • Friday, Daniel Johnson and our Weather Van will be in the Selbyville Christmas Parade.  Ryan Eldredge will emcee and assist in judging the entries.
  • Friday, 5:30 < 7 at Reign is also my retirement Happy Hour (and a half)
  • Saturday, Daniel Johnson will take our Weather Van to the Cambridge Christmas Parade
  • Sunday is the Salisbury Christmas Parade.  Our Weather Van, accompanied by Daniel Johnson, Jaisol Martinez and Jean Vivola, will participate.  Julian Sadur will assist in the judging.

STATION FREEBIE

The winner of the promotional items for “Saving Hope” in last week’s drawing was Lauren Vail.  There will not be a Station Freebie this week.

ANNIVERSARIES OF NOTE

  • Charles Roberts will be with us 6 years on Wednesday (and)
  • Eric Walston will be with us 2 years on Sunday

PROJECT UPDATES

  • Sweeps are over and the Gas Card Promotion wrapped up last week
  • The Coat Drive:  As of last Wednesday, Peninsula Dry Cleaners has repaired and cleaned over 1,200 coats in addition to a large number of gloves, hats and blankets.  Huge numbers have come in from McCready alone.
  • We still need six (6) volunteer Bell Ringers for the Red Kettle drive for one hour each on 14th December.  If you can take a shift, please sign up at your earliest convenience.
